What we do

Bespoke new build homes, end to end.

Nationserv is a UK specialist insurance repair contractor delivering end to end building solutions, including bespoke new build homes. The new build service takes the same teams, the same accreditations and the same surveyor led discipline, and applies them to one off homes for private clients.

Every project is run as a single design and build contract. Plot appraisal, planning support, structural engineering, the full envelope, every trade, every finish, and a documented handover. One contract, one programme, one accountable team.

Approach

Considered design. Honest build.

Every brief is different. The plot, the orientation, the way a family lives, the way light moves through a kitchen. Our role is to translate that into a home that holds up over decades, not just a house that looks good on completion day.

That means working closely with your architect, or introducing one of our trusted partners. It means specifying materials for longevity. And it means using the same trades that deliver every other Nationserv project, so the people pouring the foundations are the same people the senior surveyor knows by name.

Services

From plot to handover, all under one contract.

The new build service covers every stage of the project, from initial plot appraisal through to the moment we hand over the keys. Every trade sits under one instruction and one programme.

01

Plot appraisal and feasibility

Site visit, ground survey overview, planning context check and an indicative cost framework before any commitment is made. The honest answer about whether the plot will deliver what you have in mind.

02

Design and planning support

Working with your architect or one of our trusted partners. Drawings, planning applications, neighbour notification, Building Control packs and any heritage or conservation work where the site requires it.

03

Structural engineering

Foundations sized to ground conditions. Steels, frame and roof structure specified by qualified structural engineers. Helifix Approved Installer for any specialist masonry work where the site demands it.

04

Envelope and shell

Groundworks, drainage, masonry, frame, roof and external envelope. Specified for thermal performance and longevity. Watertight in weeks, not months.

05

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing

NICEIC approved electricians and Gas Safe registered engineers in house. Underfloor heating, MVHR where specified, smart home wiring, and full first and second fix to current regulations.

06

Interior fit out and finishes

Joinery, plastering, tiling, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, painting and decoration. The trades that turn a finished shell into a finished home, all working under one project lead.

07

Landscape and grounds

Driveways, terraces, swimming pools, raised decking and full landscape works. Coordinated with the build programme so the grounds are finished when the house is.

08

Snagging and handover

Formal snagging, Building Control sign off, and a documented handover pack including warranties, guarantees and aftercare. Available beyond completion.

09

Project management

One senior surveyor and one project lead from first plot visit to final handover. Weekly progress updates, transparent costing, and a single point of accountability throughout.

Process

Four stages, clearly defined.

The same surveyor led discipline that runs every insurance repair reinstatement, applied to a private new build. A clear, four stage path from first plot visit to handover.

Stage one

Brief and feasibility

A senior surveyor visits the plot, captures the brief, takes detailed measurements and photography, and sets out the planning route, ground considerations and an indicative cost framework. The honest answer before any commitment.

Stage two

Design and specification

Working with your architect or one of our trusted partners through design development, planning submission and a fixed line by line specification. Materials, trades and timings agreed before a spade enters the ground.

Stage three

Build and project management

Nationserv teams across every core trade, coordinated by a single project lead. Weekly progress updates, controlled site protocols, and transparent variation tracking if the brief evolves through the build.

Stage four

Snagging and handover

A formal walk through, snagging completion, Building Control sign off and a documented handover pack. Aftercare available beyond completion, with the same team available for any future work.

Materials and craft

Specified for longevity.

A new build is the rare project where the right specification on day one saves a homeowner decades of remedial work. The framing, the insulation strategy, the window detailing, the lead flashings, the tiling beds, the joinery first fixings. Get the unseen detailing right and the visible finish lasts.

Nationserv specifies materials based on what we know lasts in UK conditions. The builders, electricians, plumbers and finishing trades on site are Nationserv teams, supported by an in house surveyor. ConstructionLine Gold, CHAS, SafeContractor, BM TRADA and Cyber Essentials accredited.
